About

Welcome to the home of Sydney's premier performing arts companies.

Roslyn Packer Theatre Entrance

Inspiration starts here

Walsh Bay Arts Precinct seamlessly blends heritage structures with state-of-the-art rehearsal, performance and creative facilities. This is where the theatre, music, dance and song which reflects our world and tells our stories is created and performed.

Experience a performance from one of our premier arts companies in a stunning heritage space, step into a Sydney Dance Company class, enrol in a drama workshop with Australian Theatre for Young People, soak up the magnificent views over a meal at The Theatre Bar At the End of The Wharf, or simply take a walk to enjoy the sparkling harbour views.

History

Walsh Bay’s history encompasses significant Aboriginal sites, a thriving maritime trade, the struggles of The Hungry Mile and a reimagined purpose as a home for performing arts on the harbour.

Our Transformation

It takes a mighty village to successfully deliver a project of this scale. A league of design experts joined forces with Infrastructure NSW and Create NSW to realise the transformation of Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.
